Mimir Chamber Music Festival celebrates 23rd season

Unique "virtual" feast of musical delights set for July 5-11, 2020, all concerts free

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Mimir Chamber Music Festival is thrilled to announce its 23rd anniversary and one that will be truly unique as it moves from the live concert hall to a global online audience. Performances will be coming from Los Angeles to New York City, Leipzig, Germany, and Melbourne.

Mimir's 2020 season will feature our renowned Festival artists along with special performances by Mimir "alumni," who are now enjoying marvelous careers as professional musicians. Continuing Mimir's tradition as a teaching festival for up-and-coming musicians, three pre-formed chamber ensembles will receive online coaching leading up to the festival, and then perform an online concert.

Mimir will kick off with a special Pre-Concert Chat on July 5 at 5:30 p.m. CST, followed by concerts on July 7, July 9 and July 11. All concerts are at 7:30 p.m. CST. The Emerging Artists concert will be July 10 at 7:30 p.m. CST. Please check the Mimir website for updates and online concert links at the end of June.

Since the coronavirus shutdown, musicians worldwide have been unable to perform for a live audience. We look forward to this rare opportunity to offer a one-of-a-kind performance experience bringing us closer together.
