Heather Weirich is a Hattie Mae Lesley Apprentice Artist with the Fort Worth Opera for the 2018/19 season. In addition to her work with the opera, she is completing an Artist Diploma at the TCU School of Music. While currently located in Fort Worth, Heather Weirich originally hails from Seattle, Washington.
Most recently, she was a guest artist in TCU's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream singing Oberon and was seen at the Fort Worth Opera Festival as Judy in Companionship, Lotus Dudley in Mabel's Call, and in the chorus for Don Pasquale. Other recent roles include Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro, Flora in La Traviata, Stewardess in Flight (cover) at The Boston Conservatory and Trio in Trouble in Tahiti and Colline in La Femme Boheme with MetroWest Opera in Boston. Previous roles include Dorabella in Cosi Fan Tutte, Dina in Trouble in Tahiti, Zita in Gianni Schicchi, Third Lady in The Magic Flute and the Witch in Hansel and Gretel at Pacific Lutheran University.
Weirich received a Bachelor of Music degree from Pacific Lutheran University and a Master's degree from The Boston Conservatory. This fall she will be singing in Jake Heggie's Farewell Auschwitz for the Festival of American Song at TCU.
