Kite Quartet, based in Melbourne, Australia, was founded in 2026 by four friends who met each other across the years through various musical programs. Each member has their own unique and diverse experiences which amalgamate into Kite’s collective musical voice. Despite their vast background and recent formation, the group’s rapport has been developed from individual collaborations and their now shared study at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.

Kite Quartet is beginning to make their mark on the Melbourne performance scene with concerts at Melba Hall and Hanson Dyer Hall. They enjoy working on standard quartet repertoire as well as exploring works which push the boundaries of the quartet sound. They also regularly look to work with new and upcoming composers to develop contemporary works as well as venturing into music of other genres.

Kite Quartet strives to achieve a thrilling and exhilarating sound with nuance to their youthful energy.
