Julianna Bray began her studies on the cello as a young teen while living in rural Alaska. In 2020 she received her undergraduate degree in Cello Performance from the University of Houston where she studied with the late Vagram Saradjian, followed by guest instructors Anthony Elliott and Estelle Choi. Other principal instructors include Lachezar Kostov and Holgen Gjoni.
Julianna has participated in various workshops, including those led by Dr. Melissa Kraut and Jesus Castro-Balbi, as well as summer festivals like the Sewanee Summer Music Festival. During this period, she also collaborated with a Del Webb community center in Texas to perform in a series of concerts with other local musicians.
In September of 2022, Julianna began her Master’s degree at DePaul University, where she is currently studying with Brant Taylor.
