Oscar Woinarski

Oscar is a 5th year cello student enrolled in a Masters of Music degree majoring in Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. He has been immersed in music from a very early age playing the cello, piano and singing in choirs. Oscar started to learn the cello when he was in Year 2 at primary school and has continued to pursue his love for cello since then. He is currently actively engaged in orchestral (Melbourne Conservatorium Orchestra) and chamber ensembles (piano and string quartets and piano trios) where he enjoys playing music that ranges from baroque to contemporary Australian works. Oscar is also a dedicated music educator who aims to unlock the musical potential in all his students. Through his experiences in ensemble/solo playing, teaching, orchestral management and music leadership; a love and passion for music has been manufactured. This passion extends into lessons by using a blend of technical, musical and scholarly tuition.
