Annika Cho

Annika Cho is a young Melburnian cellist with a passion for chamber music and orchestral performance. She enjoys bringing music of a wide range of various genres to her community.
Beginning her musical journey as a winner of numerous prizes from local eisteddfods as both a soloist and as part of different chamber ensembles, Annika has gone on to participate in the Australian Festival of Chamber Music in Townsville and the Mimir Chamber Music Festival. She is currently the cellist of the Invictus Quartet who are the winners of the 2017 Melbourne Conservatorium of Music Chamber Music Competition and the recipients of the Audience Prize of the 3MBS The Talent Series. Most recently they competed in the 13th International Mozart Competition held in Salzburg, Austria. She hopes to continue to broaden her horizon and continue to compete internationally.
Annika is in her 3rd and final year of the Bachelor of Music course at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, studying with the head cello lecturer, Dr Alvin Wong. She aspires to one day be a successful chamber musician in Melbourne.
