Christine Sherlock

Christine SherlockChristine Sherlock is originally from Florida and began playing the viola at the age of 8 as part of a public school music program. She earned her BM in viola performance in 2010 from the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied with renowned teachers Jeffrey Irvine and Lynne Ramsey. She studied with Caroline Coade at the University of Michigan, where she also became an avid performer of new music. Other teachers have included Stanley Konopka, Kirsten Doctor, and Sara Cote. Christine has been performing in the Cleveland area since 2013. She is currently a viola section member in the Ashland Symphony Orchestra, and also continues to play with the Erie Chamber Orchestra, the Youngstown Symphony (assistant Principal), The Warren Philharmonic, the Ohio Valley Symphony, Cleveland Opera Theatre, and Opera Circle. Also active as a teacher, she is on the faculty of the Aurora School of Music where she maintains a studio of over thirty young aspiring violists.
